Therapy for High-Functioning Anxiety and Burnout in Delaware
You don't have to keep performing "fine." Therapy for women carrying anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, and the pressure to hold it all together, in person in Newark or online.
Getting it all done, but never getting to rest
From the outside, you're reliable and on top of things. Inside, your mind runs through tomorrow's list while you're trying to fall asleep. You replay conversations. You say yes when you mean no. You can't remember the last time you felt truly relaxed.
That's what many people call high-functioning anxiety. Left alone, it often turns into burnout: exhausted, short-tempered, and running on empty. Therapy helps you understand the patterns and practice tools you can use the same week.
Signs it may be time
- Worry takes up a large part of most days
- You're tired even after a full night's sleep
- Rest feels uncomfortable or guilty
- You're snapping at people you love
- You lean on staying busy to avoid your thoughts

Before you reach out
Is high-functioning anxiety a diagnosis?
Not formally. It's a common way to describe anxiety that hides behind success. Your therapist will help you understand what you're experiencing and what will help.
What happens in therapy for anxiety?
You'll talk about what's driving the worry and practice tools, often from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to calm your body, challenge anxious thoughts, and set boundaries.
I'm too busy for therapy. Is there a way to fit it in?
Online sessions and evening appointments make it easier. Many clients meet with us on a lunch break or after the kids are in bed.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept Aetna, Highmark Delaware commercial plans, and Delaware Medicaid plans, including Highmark Health Options, AmeriHealth Caritas Delaware, and Delaware First Health. There is no cost to you with Delaware Medicaid. We confirm your benefits before scheduling.
Do I need to know which therapist I want?
No. Tell us a little about what you're carrying and we'll help you find the right fit.
You have carried enough on your own.
Take the first small step. We will help you find the next right one.
